Children’s storytellers at IAIS Dhow exhibition The Institute’s Dhow exhibition formed the perfect backdrop for stories of the sea at a special session of the “Exetreme Imagination” children’s literature festival on 7 November. Children from around Devon came to the Institute to hear tales told by storyteller Helen East, set to a sound accompaniment by musician Rick Wilson, among the dhows, dhow models, pearling paraphernalia, and images of the exhibition. The Dhow exhibition runs until 17 December, and is a curated by the Institute’s MARES Project. The Exetreme Imagination festival ran from 1-7 November, and is part of the University of Exeter’s Arts & Culture Strategy.
