Registration for EMPSEB 19 has closed
Successful applicants will be informed by 31st March 2013. Cost of registration is €350, subject to payment upon successful selection as a delegate. This will cover meals and accommodation for the duration of the meeting, and transport to Cornwall from selected UK airports (airport list to be confirmed).
Travel Grants
The deadline to apply for travel grants has now passed.
We are also pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of travel grants to attend EMPSEB 19 in Cornwall, UK. The grant will contribute to covering travel and congress fees. The grant will be paid out as a reimbursement after the congress, based on specification of the expenses.
We strongly encourage students who wish to attend EMPSEB 19 to apply for additional travel and conference grants. Such funding can dramatically reduce the cost of the conference and look great on your CV. Universities and learned societies (e.g. the Genetics Society) frequently offer funding to students hoping to attend national and international conferences. Always check the submission requirements and deadlines to avoid disappointment.
How to Apply
Send your application by email to the EMPSEB Travel Committee at travel@empseb19.com. The application should be no more than one page long and include:
- Name of the applicant
- Current funding/budget, including sources of PhD funding and additional support
- Estimated travel costs
- An explanation of how attendance to the meeting will further the attendant’s professional goals
