TEA - Treatment
Attacks of amnesia in TEA usually stop on treatment with a low dose of an anti-epileptic drug, such as carbamazepine, lamotrigine or sodium valproate. Treatment usually prevents further attacks. However, many patients with TEA experience persistent memory problems between attacks; particularly, accelerated forgetting of newly learned information and a patchy loss of personal memories.
