North Wyke Research Station is part of the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research, a BBSRC sponsored Institute and is the major UK centre for independent research into grassland and the environment. The trip will look at the understanding of interactions between soils, animals and plants and the wider environment, with emphasis on grasslands and related communities and look at optimal strategies of land-use and associated activities which satisfy both agricultural and environmental criteria. Facilities at North Wyke allow researchers to tackle questions through from process understanding at the molecular level to practical implications.
