This page will outline the basics of CFD modeling for the evaluation of engineering problems.

CFD modeling is based around the theory of discretisation.  This is where the problem is defined as either a volume or area (depending on whether it is 3d or 2d).  This area is divided into cells for which the equations defined under the different models used to represent turbulent or laminar flow are solved.
