EU FP6 Projects on Memory Technologies

ARCORC

Carbon nanotubes are among the most promising materials discovered in the "nano cosmos" up to now. "ARCORC" or the Applied Research Roadmaps for Carbon Nanotubes:Opportunities, Requirements, Challenges is the result of a one year investigation by WTC into technological trends and the current market situation. This project assesses the current status and provide a vision of the future rquirements for subsystems based on Carbon Nanotubes-Technology, products and application.

Abstract

ARCORC will provide a roadmap for sub-systems based on Carbon Nanotubes to prepare for a research agenda and to build the research community. ARCORC will define major trends addressing the ICT bi micro/nano technology combined field. The project will investigate technologies and major applications and roduts. Integration of Carbon Nanotubes as molecular building blocks in micro/nano sub-systems for applications in health care/diagnostics, sensors, energy storage systems, mass data storage systems, and display solutions will be the focus of the work. The roadmap will address research and innovation at the boundaries of nanoeletronics, biosciences and chemistry and engineering/materials sciences.
