INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Exploitation of Intellectual Property (IP) is becoming increasingly important and within the Collaboration there are various organisations that exist to help with this.
The two most relevant are:
Peninsula BioVentures (http://www.peninsulabioventures.co.uk/Index.html). Created to exploit the IP arising from biomedical research carried out in the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and its founding partners, University of Plymouth and University of Exeter.

NHS Innovations South West – NISW (http://www.nisw.co.uk/web/site/home/home.asp) who have been set up to help NHS staff who have new innovative ideas and inventions that will benefit and enhance patient care.
