Hypnosis presents unique challenges and opportunities to psychologists. In this session, Peter Naish from the Open University will consider some of the weird and wonderful theories put forward to explain hypnosis. His demonstrations will give a feel for what these theories have to explain as well as how hypnosis can be used as a research tool. A group hypnosis will give everybody a chance to experience what hypnosis is like.
