See the extraction processes and the environmental restoration that are part and parcel of China Clay mining and Cornwall. After a brief overview of the history of the clay industry, the visit at the IMRYS China Clay Company in St Austell will focus on recent technological and environmental improvements and the importance of this industry to the economy of SW England. IMRYS will also take the group to a pub for a pint and a fantastic Cornish pasty.
