Euros a Brief Introduction.
By Alan Robertshaw.

The Euros were founded four years ago, though they have existed for almost 30 years. Strange but true. A team, playing in various shades of red, first got together in the early 70s, with a nucleus of staff from different parts of Exeter University, and, with the addition of various colleagues, relations and friends, have played at the same time on the same pitch every Wednesday night through every winter since then.

When, in 1999, they undertook their first European tour, it was decided they finally needed a name. They became the Euros and for the first time they wore identical shirts (though this still only happens in international competitions).
