Previous Research by the EBRG
The EBRG has grown from two previous research projects, both undertaken by the current Research Fellow Dr. Stewart Barr. The first was a study of recycling behaviour in the Vale of the White Horse District of southern Oxfordshire, the fieldwork for which was undertaken in 1997. This research was a basic study of reported recycling behaviour related to environmental attitudes, socio-demographic factors, knowledge, experience and kerbside recycling provision.
The second was a large survey of attitudes towards waste management in Exeter, Devon. This study was grounded in the conceptualisation of environmental action developed by the group since the research into recycling behaviour in Oxfordshire.
