Teaching Resources

Writing in the digital university

Writing is a core activity of academic life. Even here, digital tools are making a deep impression on the writing process and its outcomes.

This resource is designed for postgraduates working on thesis-length projects but would also be appropriate for taught students working on dissertations. Rather than looking at writing as a linear process from first ideas to finished article, it considers the iterations that are involved in writing and how digital tools might add to the repertoire of techniques available to students in each iteration.
